A Senior Well Engineer with BP Egypt, Youssef has been working in the drilling business for more than 22 years and still enjoys drilling operations. During his long career, he has had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of interesting jobs: Drilling Engineer and Drilling Supervisor for Gupco (AMOCO JV), Drilling Consultant for Agip and other oil companies, operations/management jobs with Schlumberger, Drilling Supervisor at ADCO, Senior Drilling Engineer for Gulf of Suez operations with BP/GUPCO, and finally Senior Drilling Engineer for deepwater operations with BP Egypt Nile Delta. Youssef has worked in different countries: Egypt, Qatar, India, Oman, Brunei, and United Arab Emirates. He has been involved in drilling many different wells; vertical, directional, sidetracks, horizontal, multilateral, ERD, and hook-type wells, and is now enjoying the challenge of drilling deepwater wells.
