COURSE OVERVIEW

A practically orientated workshop involving group interaction and problem solving, focusing on the challenges of High Pressure High Temperature wells. The lecture and workshop-type discussion session may be complemented by realistic practical exercises using the DS 5000 rig floor simulator and the “SideKick” advanced kick simulator.

• HPHT well overview
• HPHT uniqueness and planning overview
• Rig equipment layout & specifics
• Operator & Contractor philosophy (learning from the past)
• Policies and procedures
• Current operational case histories
• Practical well control scenarios
• Simulated stripping exercise
