OVERVIEW
Theoretical
and practical course for surface and/or subsea installations at
Supervisory (i.e. Toolpusher, Superintendent and Drilling Foreman)
level. Designed to enhance understanding of the fundamentals of
well control that can be applied to most well control operations,
and to prepare candidates for IADC WellCAP testing.

DEFINITION – SURFACE AND COMBINED
Prior
to attending, delegates shall indicate which type of BOP certificate
course (i.e. “Surface” or “Combined”) is
required:
• Surface BOP certificate course is for surface mounted BOP’s
only
• Combined BOP certificate course covers both surface and
subsea mounted BOP’s
